Progress, progress, progress
I am absolutely thrilled to report another amazing week!
Wrapping up the business plan by yesterday’s deadline was a challenge. While the document is one that must continue to evolve, I am pleased to report that the first draft is complete and ready for the formal review process. Over the next week-and-a-half I will to present the business plan to mentors and key advisors so they can provide feedback prior to the company’s “soft” launch in October.
In reality we started two months ago. Since then I found the entire business planning process to be both personally rewarding and fundamentally necessary to define who we are and what we do. As important as business planning, securing the resources needed to provide the services we offer was a critical step in preparing to commence operation.
Likewise setting up business contact information this month was required to complete our first project, the corporate identity suite. Two weeks ago we introduced the company name and shared the latest iteration of the company logo. Today I am delighted to present our corporate brand identity:
Business cards, letterhead, envelopes and all the other standard business communication tools that make up the Identity Suite Project are ready-to-go. With any luck we’ll have all items printed by our October 1st deadline.
All the planning, preparation and setup was also needed for our second project, the company website. With logistics determined, scope defined, content written, and a solid design direction, we are now ready to apply the corporate brand identity and execute phase one of the company website. Again with any luck, this too will be done by our October 1st deadline.
