Taking a break

OK, so last week flew by and I was looking forward to the 3-day weekend. My wife, Dana, has today off and made plans with our oldest daughter, Catherine, so I made plans to go for a bike ride with my nephew, Sky. After our bike ride, Sky and I were eating lunch when I realized that I forgot to write this week’s update. Oops…

Speaking of non-work-related fun, part of what made last week go by so fast was the fact that I volunteered to help with not one, but two fundraisers:

First up is the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance Golf Tournament. Scheduled for Friday, April 30, 2010, this is the second year that the event will be held at The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club. Rate information and sponsorship details will be finalized shortly. Golfers mark your calendars and plan to participate!

Second we have the annual fundraiser for the Siesta Key Kiwanis Club. Located at the new Sarasota Yacht Club and scheduled for Saturday, May 22, 2010, this year’s theme is Tropical Nights Goes Hollywood. Always a fun time, proceeds will benefit local youth through our 5-year, $50,000 commitment to the Wellness Center.
