One more plug for our sponsors
Last week’s Regional Summer Mixup at Gold Coast Eagle Distributing, an event that kicked off the alliance between the Suncoast Technology Forum and the Tampa Bay Technology Forum, was a great success. Thanks again to John Saputo for hosting the event.
Of course the free beer didn’t hurt our numbers. We had 120 people register for the free event. Roughly 75 people showed up so there was plenty of networking from across the bay, and the web marketing panel was well received. The hottest topic by far was social media with the Q&A session lasting an extra 30 minutes.
Thanks again to our panelists:
Peter Taylor, Director of Marketing, Sarasota Memorial Health Care System
Danny Watts, Digital Strategist, atLarge, Inc.
Peter Varga Jr, Market Director, Clickbooth.com

By far the most inspiring aspect of the event was the vision that TBTF president, Ananad Pallegar, presented during the introduction – a 10-year challenge to turn the Tampa Bay region into a global hub for technology. A lofty goal for sure, but one that was supported and encouraged by John Saputo who participated in a similar experience some three decades ago in North Carolina.
Until next week,
