Whirlwind of activity

Posted by: on Sunday, November 14, 2010

Last week was a wonderful whirlwind of activity, here are the highlights:

The Suncoast Technology Forum’s healthcare IT event on Tuesday night was a great success with rave reviews. Thank you to Violeta Huesman for hosting our 60+ attendees in the Keiser University auditorium. And a shout out to Kirsten Sponseller with Cosimo’s Too for the nosh.

Exhibiting at Wednesday night’s Tri Chamber was a blast. Last year we only walked the floor to see who was exhibiting and get a feel for the attendance. This year 1,200+ attendees saw our booth. We said hello to many people we knew from the Sarasota chamber, we met new people from the Manatee and Venice chambers, and we walked away with a few great leads.

On Friday night Dana and I attended the Industry Achievement Awards Gala for the Tampa Bay Technology Forum. The black-tie affair was an impressive 007-themed production at the A La Carte Pavilion in Tampa. Who knew that techies could party like celebrities?

We’re anticipating two highlights this week:

Tuesday’s STF Techbyte Luncheon will feature Douglass Cherry, a Board Certified IP Attorney with Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick LLP. Sure to be a hit, Doug’s topic is Avoiding Legal Pitfalls in Social Networking, Open Source Software and Records Retention.

On Thursday night Milestone Marketing Associates will hold its Quarterly Planning Meeting. These face-to-face get-togethers are vital for our virtual organization, and this one is extra-special because we’ll be looking ahead at the 2011 business plan.

Until next week,

Matthew Anderson, President
Milestone Marketing Associates, Inc.
