Springtime!

Posted by: on Monday, February 28, 2011

March is shaping up to be an exciting month – starting with an afternoon at the new ballpark on Tuesday. I’m looking forward to our first spring training game with the Orioles, and I can’t wait to see the new Ed Smith Stadium.

Next week is Spring Break. Catherine will be out of school and Dana’s sister Linda is coming to town with baby Jack. Talk about exciting – Aunt Linnie is like crack to our kids!

Towards the end of March I’m going to Las Vegas for a few days to attend CONEXPO-CON/AGG – which happens to be the largest construction trade show in the western hemisphere. The show is only held once every three years. The first time I went was in 1996 so that makes this my sixth one.

Vegas can be fun. Especially if you’re only there for a few days and you don’t have to work. Getting up early to stand on a concrete floor for eight hours is not fun. It’ll be great to see all my old friends from the software business (I booked a suite at the Monte Carlo so we’re definitely throwing a party!), but this is still a work trip even though we don’t have a booth at the show.

We have a preshow promotion in the works – a direct mail campaign similar to what we did for the World of Concrete in 2010. With any luck we’ll meet or exceed last year’s results which more than paid for the promotion and the trip to Vegas.

And that’s not all. March is full of exciting events, exhibits and speakers, but far more importantly, Milestone has a growing list of clients. That’s the most exciting part of this business. We Build Relationships.

Until next week,

Matthew Anderson, President
Milestone Marketing Associates, Inc.

Hi Matthew!

I see your name so much in the Herald these days, I am wondering if you are going to become a correspondent. ;) Good going with all your publicity.
