Spring Cleaning

Posted by: on Sunday, April 3, 2011

For those who are receiving this email for the first time, welcome to my weekly blog called From the Book of Matthew. It’s been six months since I updated our mailing list so I finally broke down and spent eight hours over the weekend cleaning up our database.

The net result: twice as many people – approaching 1,500 – can forward to a friend, opt out, or see what’s new at Milestone Marketing Associates.

With the second quarter officially underway, and last week’s announcement about hiring our first full-time employee, I figured it was time for some spring cleaning. Not only had it been a long time since I updated our mailing list, but I’ve also made a bunch of new friends through various business development and networking activities.

And since we’re going to have a bigger nut to cover every month starting in May, now’s a good time to cast a wider net, keep more people in the loop, and make sure everyone knows that we’re open for business!

Speaking of business development and networking activities, I have some exciting news about the Suncoast Technology Forum. Jeff Kratsch, our new Executive Director, started on April 1st. Welcome aboard, Jeff!

His timing couldn’t be better. Last week’s social event, Brews & Bytes, with Barcamp Sarasota was a tremendous success. A hundred people showed up at the Cock & Bull, and by all accounts, the evening demonstrated the buzz and excitement about technology growth in Southwest Florida.

Want to see for yourself? Sign up for tomorrow night’s Cloud Computing event at USF Sarasota-Manatee and help us keep the momentum going.

Until next week,

Matthew Anderson, President
Milestone Marketing Associates, Inc.

Matthew I like your blog. Glad to hear about so many good things happening with the business. By the way, what is the state of technology growth on the Suncoast?
