Extra props for Dana!

Posted by: on Sunday, April 17, 2011

It’s been a while since I focused on my family – both in real life and in this weekly update. Well that changed this past weekend starting with date night on Friday night.

We’re fortunate in that we have wonderful next-door neighbors who have a 14-year-old daughter who enjoys babysitting our girls. With a pizza ordered and Alex in charge, Dana and I headed out for a party.

Admittedly it was a work party hosted by my friends Andy and Jennifer from Waste Pro, but they throw one heck of an annual luau. There was an open bar, great food, live music, and a raffle. I won a round of golf with Andy!

On Saturday afternoon Dana and Catherine left for an overnight trip to Busch Gardens (an incentive trip that Catherine’s Brownie Troop won for selling so many Girl Scout Cookies) so it was just Mia and me for some much-needed daddy-daughter time.

I took Mia to get her haircut and then went to a birthday party at Coconuts for Mike and Vicki’s son Spencer. It was great to see everyone and the kids had a great time.

On Sunday Mia and I went out for breakfast in the Village and spent some time at the beach. When we got home she took a nap I spent the afternoon catching up on chores.

Now that we’re well-rested, the Andersons are ready to tackle another week. Well at least Mia and I are well-rested. Dana and Catherine could probably use another day or so to recuperate. I can only imagine what it was like chaperoning a dozen Brownies at Busch Gardens. Extra props for Dana!

I’m pushing two great events this week:

First up is the Suncoast Technology Forum Techbyte Luncheon on Tuesday, April 19th from 12-1pm at the Polo Grill in Lakewood Ranch. Sign up now so you don’t miss Stephen Jaynes from xByte Technologies who will talk about Maximizing IT At Minimum Costs.

This Thursday the American Advertising Federation Suncoast will conclude its 60-day membership drive with a telethon-style phone drive followed by a new member party at the HuB. Join now for just sixty bucks and be part of the growing momentum in this organization for creative professionals.

Until next week,

Matthew Anderson, President
Milestone Marketing Associates, Inc.
