Still Miss John

Posted by: on Monday, May 9, 2011

Lee’s first week on the job was a smashing success! The whirlwind of activity included progress on multiple projects, a few new client meetings, and a general sense of excitement as we embark on our next stage of growth.

I am so thrilled to have Lee on board full time. In many ways it’s just like old times having worked together in the past; however, since the business grew from one person to two people focusing 100% on Milestone, I can already see things happening more quickly.

There is no sign of anything slowing down this week. Between all the board meetings and project meetings Lee and I will take some time to work on the business too as we devise new management systems and processes to help manage our growth.

Happy Mother’s Day

I did slow down this weekend to celebrate Mother’s Day at the beach with the family. Our friends, Jamie and Sandy Prenosil, joined us at the condo with their three kids. We enjoyed amazing views, perfect weather, and had a great time hosting a Mother’s Day brunch for nearly all the mother’s in our two families.

Sunday also marked the two-year anniversary of my brother’s death. And while we still miss John terribly, it was nice to see Sky’s stepmom at the party. I’m glad Jody is doing well.

Despite the poor timing of Mother’s Day this year, and the fact that she had to work Sunday afternoon, my mom seemed to be doing well. One reason is she’s getting excited about moving. She found a nice place nearby, put down a contract, and is already thinking about where to put her furniture. I think the change will do wonders…

Until next week,

Matthew Anderson, President
Milestone Marketing Associates, Inc.

It's exciting to hear about the growth of your business. You are really "stirring up the cosmic dust" and making things happen. It sounds like your family enjoyed a nice Mother's Day. Rarely is there ever a "bad" day at the beach!
