Disco Fever

We have a couple of fun events lined up this week, but there’s one in particular that needs your support. Our Siesta Key Kiwanis Club annual fundraiser is this Saturday from 6:30 to 9:30pm at Michael’s on East.

This year’s theme is Tropical Nights Goes Disco Fever. Tickets are still available for $75 each, and we’re still accepting donations for the silent auction. Proceeds support local children’s programs and our five year, $50,000 commitment to the new Cancer Support Center in Sarasota.

Other events this week include the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance Breakfast of Champions on Wednesday morning. Always an exciting presentation, this event includes an excellent buffet breakfast at the Lakewood Ranch Country Club.

Coming up this Friday is coolTECH 2011. This event, produced by the Tampa Bay Technology Forum, takes a look at some of the latest and greatest in technology in our area. And this year’s event features a keynote address from Craig Newmark, the founder of craigslist.org.
