Disney Bound

We’re all packed and ready-to-go! The family and I are Disney bound and looking forward to the break from reality.

Other than the odd trip or two over the years (I vaguely recall Grad Night twenty years ago and more recently my wife ran a Disney Half Marathon), Dana and I haven’t been to Walt Disney World since we were kids. And the funny thing is our families both stayed at the Contemporary Resort.

Dana and I didn’t know each other when we were 10 or 12 or however old we were when those trips occurred, but it’s another interesting similarity between our families.

We’re not staying at the Contemporary this time. Instead we’re staying at the Saratoga Springs Resort. We’re sharing a two-bedroom villa with Dana’s twin sister Linda, her husband Bey, and their nearly-one-year-old son, Jack.

We have four-day park-hopper passes. We have the dining plan and various reservations with various characters. We even have an appointment for Mia at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Now all we need is a second mortgage!

Ah, the magic of Disney. Making dollars disappear from your wallet…
