High School Reunion

My wife and I attended our 20-year high school reunion on Saturday. Out of the hundred or so people who came to the event, Dana and I were singled out for a special honor. Apparently we’re the only couple from our class that is still married.

Technically Dana and I were not high school sweethearts. We were friends, but we didn’t start dating until after college. Regardless of that fact, we were photographed and interviewed by a reporter from the Observer so look for us in their next issue…

In work-related news I am pleased to report that Milestone keeps getting busier. We have projects in the works for half-a-dozen clients, and another half-dozen proposals in the hopper. Lee joined a BNI group that is already producing new leads, and we’re getting more referrals every week.

With the influx of new business we’re contemplating our next full time hire and starting to think about office space. Both moves are still premature, but it’s not unrealistic to anticipate another growth spurt before the end of 2011.

In association-related news, there are a few upcoming events that I’d like to mention. Members of STF are carpooling up to St. Pete on the 26^th for TBTF’s Tech Tuesday networking event. Let me know if you’d like to tag along.

Next Monday, on August 1, 2011, the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce will host its First Monday networking event from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the North Bridge Tavern on Siesta Drive. I’ve not been to this watering hole so it might be fun to check it out.

Next Wednesday, on August 3, 2011, the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance will host a Speed Networking event at the Polo Grill from 5:00on to 7:00pm.

Next Thursday, on August 4, 2011, AAF Suncoast and FPRA are hosting a joint mixer from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at La Trattoria in Lakewood Ranch.
