Summer's Last Hoorah

Last week wrapped up with a fun night out with my daughter Catherine. On her last day of summer camp at Girls, Inc. she was received an outstanding achievement award and won a pair of tickets to the Bucs preseason game against the Dolphins.

She had never been to a professional football game before, and now she’s spoiled because these were great seats. They were on the club level so we had access to air conditioning, couches and big screen TVs – which was cool because even though it was a night game it was still 90 degrees outside.

And despite a rather poor showing the Bucs still managed to win the game. On behalf of Catherine and myself, thanks to Girls, Inc. for a great time!

We’re attending a few interesting events this week. First up is the Summer’s Last Hoorah at Hooters sponsored by the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday night from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Come on out for some wings!

Lee Gaines, our Interactive Media Director, and I will be in Tampa all day on Wednesday attending the Internet Technology Summit. I attended this event last year in Orlando and met a bunch a great people, heard some excellent speakers, and learned a few things. Hopefully we’ll have a similar experience this year.

On Thursday night, don’t miss the American Advertising Federation Suncoast social gathering at The Hub from 5:30 to 7:30pm. This event is free for all members and their guests. Stop by and say hello to some of our newest committee chairs including; Maria Lyle from Maria Lyle Photography, Mical Johnson from Digital Dragon Direct, and James Moore from Webtivity.
