Third Annual...

Posted by: on Sunday, November 27, 2011

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving last week. My wife and I always enjoy hosting the meal, and for the first time this year we celebrated the holiday with new members of our extended family. My father flew in from Raleigh with his significant other, and her sister and niece also joined us from out of town. We had a total of 14, and a great time was had by all.

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, most people are focused on the next big holiday tradition. While family preparations are underway for Christmas, my attention has turned to New Year’s Eve.

For several months I had a hard time deciding whether or not we were going to throw another party this year. For one thing it’s a lot of money. Revenues are growing well, but we’re trying to keep our expenses down so this party was on the chopping block.

The other problem was the location. For the last two year’s we hosted the party at my parent’s house. It’s a big, beautiful, waterfront home with a tiki bar by the pool and a gazebo overlooking Siesta Key. They put that property on the market in October so I wasn’t sure if it would be available at the end of the year.

They’ve had a few nibbles but no offers yet so I asked my mother if we could throw one more New Year’s Eve Party at her place. She said yes, so plans for the Milestone Marketing Associates Third Annual New Year’s Eve Party are in the works. Stay tuned for details…

In the meantime, don’t miss the American Advertising Federation Suncoast social gathering this Thursday, December 1 from 5:30-7:30pm at Ringling’s madeby gallery in the Rosemary District. Normally no cost to attend, this month’s networking event is $10 per person with 100% of proceeds going towards the AAF Suncoast student scholarship fund.

Until next week,

Matthew Anderson, President
Milestone Marketing Associates, Inc.
