First Place
My daughter won the second annual rock, paper, scissor tournament on Friday. She whooped her old man in the first round and went on to beat middle school kids, high school kids, and adults to take first place.
The Mighty Siesta Key Kiwanis Club sponsors the Pine View Key Club and the Sarasota Middle School Builders Club. Last year we hosted a beach party to celebrate the end of the school year with the kids. For a bit of extra fun we organized a tournament around the old game – rock, paper, scissors.
Last year’s tournament was so much fun we did it again this year. About 65 people attended the event, but no one was more excited by the outcome than Catherine. She won gift cards in the quarter finals and semi finals and she received the coveted first-place ribbon when she won the tournament.

Be sure to visit our Facebook page for more photos from Catherine’s big win.
As usual we’re attending a few networking events this week, but there’s one in particular that may pique your interest. Nancy Laine, also known as “The LinkedIn Concierge,” will be speaking at Keiser University on Tuesday night. Follow this link for more information.
Until next week,
