Judged and Hung

It was a grueling 12-hour day of judging on Saturday followed by four hours of hanging the gallery on Sunday, but I am pleased to announce the ADDY Awards have been judged and hung. You might think the hard work is over, but with the Gallery Reception on Wednesday and the Awards Gala coming up on February 21, we still have much to do.

It takes a small army of volunteers to pull together the ADDY Awards. From planning and executing multiple events, to multi-channel communications and in-kind sponsors, to securing out-of-market judges and coordinating hundreds of entries, the amount of work seems never-ending.

Last week we recognized one of our volunteers, Louie Zuniga, for going above and beyond with our ADDY Awards theme and all of the related graphic design elements.

This week, now that entries are in and judging is behind us, I would like to acknowledge the amazing dedication of Deborah Carr, Advertising Manager for Coldwell Banker. Working countless hours behind the scenes, Deb has been instrumental in organizing and coordinating the entry process.

Without her time and effort, along with help from the rest of our wonderful ADDY Committee, we simply could not complete the work on time.

As we transition to the “fun” stuff, I’m looking forward to seeing the fruits of our labor. Or better yet, join us for our Gallery Reception this Wednesday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
