My Valentine

I am thrilled to report the ADDY Gallery Reception at the Herald Tribune was a big hit. Nearly a hundred people showed up to check out the best of local advertising, and people are getting excited about our big event.

The ADDY Awards Gala will take place Thursday, February 21 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. We only have 200 seats and tickets are selling fast. The $80 member price includes open bar and heavy hors d'oeuvres. Register and pay online at www.aafsuncoast.com.

Interrupting our busy schedule this week, Lee Gaines and I are traveling to Orlando for the Digital Mastermind Winter Meetup, a BarCamp-style meeting for digital marketing agencies. The common thread in this group is Accrisoft Freedom, our preferred content management system for building websites.

In addition to the open exchange of information where agency owners share best practices, we will also hear presentations from a few industry leaders and authors. I am looking forward to attending this event because it always forces me to reevaluate our priorities and processes at Milestone.

Of course this is a terrible time to leave town. Between the ADDY Awards, all the projects we have in the works, new sales leads to follow, and volunteer commitments, we’re spread pretty thin. However, it’s definitely worth taking a few days to recharge and refocus, and the good news is we’ll be back just in time for Valentine’s Day.
