Cool Tech Events

Next week there are a couple of technology-related events you might want to attend. The first one is Suncoast Technology Forum’s monthly Techbyte Luncheon on Tuesday, November 19 from 11:30am to 1:00pm at the Polo Grill in Lakewood Ranch. The second one is a half-day conference on Friday, November 22 from 11:30am to 4:30pm at the new Sarasota Association of Realtors building on Cattleman Road.

I have personal connections to both events; the first one will feature Mark Zeitler, the Chief Technology Officer of Accrisoft Corporation, and the second will be presented by Andre Kasberger, founder of the Internet Marketing Mastermind group in Sarasota.

I’ve known Mark for nearly 20 years. We first met at Quest Solutions, my old software company. Actually I was just an employee back then and Mark was one of the partners. He was the software engineer in charge of developing the construction estimating programs we marketed to contractors.

Mark left Quest during the dot com boom, and later started Accrisoft, the software development company that makes a hosted content management system called Freedom. Milestone is an Accrisoft Freedom Solution Provider, and we used the Freedom CMS to build the new STF website.

I’ve known Andre for a dozen years. We first met through the Siesta Key Kiwanis Club, and while Andre is no longer a member we’ve kept in touch over the years.

Several years ago Andre started an Internet Marketing Mastermind group. I don’t know much about the group, but Andre says attendance has grown to 50-60 people per meeting. He also says the speakers at his summit are not to be missed:
