Raising Money for Local Kids

We’re about a month away from the Siesta Key Kiwanis Club’s annual fundraising event. Tropical Nights in Paradise is this year’s theme, and we’re returning to the fabulous Sarasota Yacht Club for a fun evening of drinking, dining, and dancing to Jimmy Buffet songs performed by solo artist Flip Flop Dave.

In addition to the usual silent auction, the fundraising committee has come up with some new ways to raise money for local kids. Proceeds from the event go to the Siesta Key Kiwanis Foundation that provides scholarships for members of the Pine View Key Club (a truly amazing group of dedicated young community volunteers) and offers grants to charitable organizations dedicated to serving local children.

Tickets are only $75 per person and seating is limited to 150 guests so we’re expecting a sell-out event. We also have 10 table sponsorships available this year for $1,000. They include 8 tickets, 2 bottles of wine, preferred seating for the buffet dinner, and special event recognition.

Tropical Nights in Paradise is scheduled on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Let me know if you would like to attend.
