Three-Year Milestone

Happy Memorial Day! Whether your plans for today involve parades or picnics take a moment to remember those who dedicated their lives to serving our country.

As we wind down the month of May, I’d like to take this opportunity to recognize Lee Gaines who has served as Milestone’s Interactive Media Director for three years.

Of course our history working together goes back much further. Like most of the Milestone crew, we all worked together in the marketing department of a software company for many years.

After my partners and I sold the software company, Lee spent several years in the website business – first working for Accrisoft, a software company that builds content management software, then working for Miles, a large agency that builds destination marketing websites.

When we all got back together to start Milestone, Lee was on board from the beginning helping on a freelance basis. That was nearly five years ago, and when Lee joined the company full time in May of 2011 he instantly became instrumental to our success.

Lee’s responsibilities include managing everything web-related that we do; primarily website design and web development, but he also helps with a variety of online marketing services including email marketing, social media, and search engine optimization.

Unlike most self-described Nerds, Lee has no problem interacting with people. He’s proven himself to be an excellent promoter in his capacity as a BNI Trusted Professional, and this June Lee will be installed on the AdFed Suncoast Board of Directors and serve as their Internet Chair.

The next time you see Lee, congratulate him on reaching a three-year milestone at Milestone.
