Summer Sales Spike
The afternoon thunderstorms have returned, and our kids are enjoying their last day of school. While the solstice is still a few weeks away, it’s officially summertime here in Sarasota, Florida. Normally a slower time of year, business is actually picking up at Milestone.
New leads and orders have increased over the last few weeks breaking a second quarter slump in sales activity. We already had enough work to keep us busy through the summer, but now it looks like we could bring in enough new business to reach our sales goal for the year.
Of course we don’t count those chickens before they hatch, but seeing an uptick in mid-year opportunities is an encouraging sign. Now if we can just close some sales before everyone leaves for summer vacation we’ll be in good shape for the next 90 days.
In the meantime, I would like to thank Ken Krizen for referring AirSide Door Systems, a new manufacturing business located in Sarasota. The startup has developed a new hydraulic door for large metal buildings, and they hired Milestone to help them build a company website.
I also need to thank Paddy Falvey, my brother-in-law, who started a farrier business shortly after we started Milestone. In fact we designed his company logo more than four years ago. Paddy’s business is doing so well he hired us again to build him a more professional website.
