Five Years Old

It’s official. As of Wednesday, October 1, 2014 Milestone is now five years old. What a journey! Sometimes I find it hard to believe we’ve been in business for so long and other times it seems like we’ve only just begun.

I’ll admit I thought Milestone we would be a bigger by now. I figured we would have more revenue, more employees, and a big office. But considering we started the company during the Great Recession – and we survived – feels like a significant accomplishment. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right?

Milestone did survive. We’re building websites and servicing accounts. Ever since our monthly revenues evened out it feels like we’re past the toddler stage. Now we’re like a little kid, ready for a growth spurt. It’ll be interesting to see the business evolve over the next five years.

After three months, and several mentions in this blog, I’m pleased to announce the completion of the Open Door America website project.

We launched opendooramerica.org last week, and I would like to acknowledge one of the best clients we have ever worked with on a website project. Bill Simpson, Open Door America CEO, has worked tirelessly over the last several weeks. His contributions included not only writing copy and taking pictures for the new website, but also engaging his board of directors to transform a local nonprofit into a national organization.

I’d like to see Milestone grow up with more clients like Bill – those who work hard themselves, and appreciate what we bring to the table. It’s a pleasure to do business with people who are passionate about their work. We’re passionate about marketing at Milestone. What are you passionate about?
