Mutt Derby

Posted by: on Monday, March 23, 2015

This weekend we attended an unusual event. The 7th Annual Mutt Derby was held at the dog track on Sunday afternoon. And while we are cat-lovers in our house, we decided to go and cheer for Oliver.

Cody Maple, who does graphic design work for Milestone, owns a four-year-old, 68-pound, brown, lab-pit mix. Oliver, who is a friendly dog capable of catching a tennis ball in mid air, happens to run pretty fast so Cody entered him in the Mutt Derby to find out how he stacks up against the competition in his weight class.

Here’s a picture of Oliver flying down the track:

After placing third in his first race, Oliver went on the next round. However, we weren’t able to stay to the end so hopefully Cody will leave a comment to let everyone if Oliver won…

Until next week,

Matthew Anderson, President
Milestone Marketing Associates, Inc.

I don't see the rabbit; do they still use that mechanical animal to get the dogs to chase it? Or, is it now a pound of grass-fed beef? In any event, Oliver looks very happy to be participating.
