Halfway Over

It’s hard to believe 2015 is halfway over. To all the dads, I hope you had a great Father’s Day on Sunday. To everyone else, happy summer solstice. Although with temperatures in the mid-ninety’s over the last several weeks, it’s felt like summer for quite a while.

Looking at the first six months of the year, I am pleased to report the business is doing well. We haven’t been able to increase revenues as planned, but considering several retainer accounts did not renew their annual contracts at the beginning of the year, we have acquired a few new accounts and replaced much of the lost retainer revenue with new website sales.

And the next six months look promising. Over the past several weeks we’ve had an uptick in sales activity due to renewed efforts in our BNI group as well as referrals from existing clients. We’re even starting to reengage with some of our old retainer accounts. With any luck they will keep us busy for the rest of the year, and we will sell enough websites to push us over last year’s numbers.

Of course we’re juggling resources this time of year with people coming and going on summer vacations. Lee Gaines was out of town this weekend, and Vicki Gillum is off this week. Welcome back to Cody Maple who was traveling around South America for the last two weeks.
