Another Website, Another Brand

We started working with another client earlier this month. Chris Kofler and his daughter Kathryn teamed up a few years ago to provide EB-5 investor services including econometric analysis, business planning, and legal documentation. Despite having no brand identity and no online presence, their business thrived on existing relationships.

Now they have the experience to go after bigger projects so they hired Milestone to brand their business and build a website.

This was an unexpected relationship that came from my involvement with the Siesta Key Kiwanis Club. I’ve known Carolyn Kofler for many years through Kiwanis, and I first met her husband Chris when they ran an office furniture business in downtown Sarasota.

In the early 2000’s I designed an 8,000 square foot office space for Quest Solutions, our old software company, when we relocated from Siesta Key to a new building on the corner of Clark and Honore. We purchased the executive desks and conference room furniture from the Kofler’s company, known at that time as UniSource.

Chris is an honorary member of the Siesta Key Kiwanis Club, unable to attend most meetings as they conflict with his Sertoma club, and Kat was also a member of our club until recently when she relocated with her boyfriend to Virginia.

So it was a pleasant surprise when Chris approached me a few weeks ago during our beer-tending fundraiser at the Music on Main event in Lakewood Ranch and asked, “How long will it take to build a website?”

We scheduled a website project kickoff meeting the following week. At that time we determined a new company name and website address would help focus the business on the EB-5 investor market. This week we’re ready to present the first round of logo designs and wire frames for their company website.
