Clingman's Dome

Greetings from the Smoky Mountains National Park! Actually we just arrived at our second campsite in Cape Hatteras this evening, but for the last few nights we were in Cosby, Tennessee where we toured the Smoky Mountains and hiked to Clingman's Dome, the highest point in Tennessee.

It’s hard to believe our vacation is already halfway over, but we’re having a blast making a few more memories with our kids before they’re all grown up. 

Here in the Outer Banks, our campsite backs up to a sand dune with the Atlantic Ocean just beyond. Pretty sweet. Looking forward to spending the next couple of days on the beach – especially since the tropical storm blew through this afternoon. There are lots of puddles from the flooding, but we missed all the rain! : )
