More Contracting Clients

Posted by: on Monday, July 25, 2016

Two weeks ago I started writing about our contracting clients. I meant to continue the theme last week, but instead I shared an update about about Authentic Florida, a new lifestyle website scheduled to launch on Wednesday. This week I’m back to sharing insights about contracting clients and related project-oriented businesses.

KS Contracting Services

When we were referred to this client four years ago the name of the company was KS Restoration Services. Based in the Orlando market and expanding into Tampa and Sarasota, their business was focused on disaster recovery with the majority of their business coming from insurance agent referrals.

However, like every company, their focus evolved over time due to internal and external forces affecting the business. The name of the company is now KS Contracting Services, and while they still provide restoration services, most of their business comes from a combination of residential and commercial construction projects. A notable project where you may have seen them in action was the redevelopment of several retail spaces on Main Street in downtown Sarasota.

Spectrum Underground

Milestone was referred to Spectrum Underground by their IT company. In fact, this was a two-for-one referral because the same people own a related business called MasterRock. Over a period of time we built new websites for both companies.

You may not have noticed, but most likely you have seen trucks on the road from both companies. Spectrum does underground utility work in Sarasota County – digging trenches and laying pipes – and MasterRock hauls aggregate materials and recycles concrete.

Audio Video Partners

We recently launched a new website for Audio Video Partners. Unlike contractors that dig in the dirt or work with wood and steel, AVP does most of their project work indoors. With services that range from custom home theater design and installation to A/V services for commercial environments, most of the work they do consists of running the wires that power and control video and sound.

This is another client we’ve seen evolve over time. We first started working with Luke Anderson’s company Anderson AV after we met through the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance five years ago. Back then Luke was running a small company that focused primarily on residential home theater work in the local market. Since merging with another A/V company, AVP is growing rapidly and doing work all over the country.

That’s it for this week. We’ll pick up next week with the rest of our contracting clients.

Until next week,

Matthew Anderson, President
Milestone Marketing Associates, Inc.
